“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
I have prayed the above so many times. Even as a question with the word “when”. You see, my whole body stays in pain—maybe not most of my face, and some other places, but most of the body. The pain level is from one to twelve.
I can not walk very far. Maybe 20 feet if not holding on to anyone before the pain begins to rise. Then the pain takes over.
The above Isaiah passage is answered in my life amongst all this pain. How? When I pray, God’s divine presence fills me. He renews the strength of my soul which overflows to my body. I still may hurt, but I can endure the pain and I find rest for all that I am. My soul mounts up with wings as eagles. God’s spirit is not only within me but engulfs me. While engulfed, you feel as though you are walking on air. You feel so light and peaceful. That happens when God has your body, mind, and spirit.
