JESUS IS VICTOR!

“Jesus is Victor! That is the truth His resurrection proclaims! Now it remains for us to allow Him to be victor in us, thus multiplying the glory of his triumph in the hearts of His trusting people.” –A. W. Tozer

Oh, Beloved Ones of God, Jesus did so much for us. He left His heavenly home and suffered so much that we could join Him one day in heaven. God created us in His image and put a special place within us so that He could send His Holy Spirit so that we could communicate with Him. Some don’t want any part of Him and some Christians just stop to fellowship with Him. Does your heart still want to respond to Him? Do so before it is too late. He is waiting for you. Jesus loves you.

A.W. Tozer is one of my favorite authors. J. I. Packer is another.

As for daily living, listen to Charles Stanley on the religious stations on TV.

IS YOUR FAITH LITTLE, GREAT, OR PERFECT

Our faith brings honor to God. Is your faith growing? We need to check our faith prayerfully. There is Scripture that may help you to know how you are growing. Jesus’ heart can be hurt when you do not have faith. Mark 16 tells about Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of James and Salome, who went to the tomb and found it empty. The angel told them Jesus had risen and to go and tell the disciples. Verse 11 says that they refused to believe. I believe this unbelief hurt Jesus. In verse 14 says in part, “He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart.

THE BIBLE TELLS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF FAITH

Little Faith: This is a struggling faith in which they are trying to believe. An example of this is found in Mark 9:17-19. 21-24.

Verse 17 And one of the crowd answered Him, “Teacher, I bought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute;

Verse 18 and whenever it seizes him, it dashes him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and stiffens out. And I told your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.

Verse 19 And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!”

Verse 21 And He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said to him, “From childhood.

Verse 22 And it has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”

Verse 23 And Jesus said to him, “If You can!’ All things are possible to him who believes.”

Verse 24 Immediately the boy’s father cried out and began saying, “I do believe; help my unbelief.

The main group of words here is “if you can”. At least he knew he needed help.

2. GREAT FAITH: It is a maturing faith and stands on the word of God. A beautiful example of this is found in I Samuel 17 where David goes against Goliath. In verse 26 David views the situation as a sacred cause. In verses 32-37, David is reviewing his personal history under the providence of God and giving credit to God for delivering him. He expressed his confidence that the same God would deliver him again. WOW! We need to review our past and write them down. What a legacy to hand down to our children.

In Matthew 8:5-8 A centurion came to Jesus asking Him to heal a paralyzed servant at his home. Jesus said He would come but the centurion said he was not worthy for Jesus to come under his roof. He then said, “Just say the word and my servant will be healed.” Jesus said that he had great faith.

PERFECT FAITH: This person says, “This is what God says. So it is true. So be it.” Next, You thank God in worship. Rejoice over the Lord. Genesis 22:1-5 shows perfect faith. In these scriptures, God shows us perfect faith through Abraham. In these verses, God asks Abraham to sacrifice his son. God does not tempt us with evil but will test us so we will know how deep our faith runs and how God will stand with us. Other religions practiced human sacrifice so Abraham was familiar with it. The place where God told Abraham was about 50 miles from where they lived. Those 50 miles would be agonizing for most people. But Abraham had Perfect Faith. He remembered that God said He would multiply Isaac’s descendants. Abraham believed that even if he killed Isaac, God would bring him back to life. We know this because, in verse 5, Abraham said to his servant staying with the donkeys, “I and the lad will go, and we will worship and return to you.

So, where are you on this road of maturing faith?

OUR KING, OUR LORD

When most people accept Jesus as their Savior, that is all they want as time goes on. He is put on the back burner, as they say. Many don’t mind Jesus as a King. A King that sits on His throne somewhere far off.

But, when you ask Jesus to come into your heart, you don’t get just a Savior. You get a King and Lord. Lord means a Ruler of your life. That means you turn your life over to Jesus. You are to obey.

Roman 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. (NAS)

Please read this verse again and take notice of the phrase, “Jesus as Lord.”

Romans 10:13 for ”WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” (NAS)

Keeping Jesus as Lord is hard. God sent the Holy Spirit to help us. He is with you moment by moment.

So bow before Him as your Lord.

I have begun my Bible Study Fellowship study for this year and we are studying the “Kingdom Divided”. Although I have studied this part of the Bible in-depth before a number of times, I always come away with amazing new knowledge. I love the Old Testament because I learn so much about the character of God. Well, a few things each time. We can always depend upon Him but how He reacts or answer prayers is always unpredictable. We can have faith in His character, but His ways are complex and hard to understand.

Isaiah 55:8-9

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My way’s higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Remember that God thinks and moves for the long term and His wisdom is eternal.

Troubles in the Earth

The Tetons by Diana Burbridge

Beloved, please be in prayer. Be in a state where you trust God and can hear the Holy Spirit’s leading. He will give you peace in a troubled world, but you must have a relationship with Him so you will know when to turn right or left. If fleeing from bad weather or something else, you need to know which way to go. God can lead you to safety.

Many years ago, God asked me to give his word to a person I met in another city in our state. He was from California. I knew that this person would be in our city, but I did not know where this person would be. God told me when to turn left and right. I went to exactly where this person was at that moment. He will do this for you, my friend. But being in prayer and walking with Him before you need Him in this type of situation, is essential. Don’t chance on waiting until the last minute.

May these verses help you in your faith.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

therefore we will not fear, though the earth change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;

The Lord of Hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold.

Cease striving and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:1-3, 7, 10 NAS

Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.

In This Unique Time

In this unique time of this generation, we need to go forth to bring the weary and lost to the fold of peace and hope. Prayer is necessary for the Holy Spirit to go before us. I believe God has prepared circumstances to prepare people to accept and love Him. But, His voice for this generation is you. Will you accept Jesus’s commission?

We are called to holiness. We are called to speak Truth. Rejoice for God is preparing the hearts of many during this time. Be counted worthy to be His Voice. Take His divine assignment.

I believe , what we are experiencing now, is not the pains in the tribulation, but the pains that could launch us into the pains of the tribulation. We are in the period that is mentioned in Matthew 24:14, in that the gospel is preached in the whole world. When you take the word of mouth, television, and computers, I think it has been preached throughout the world. But there are more to rescue.

This is a fierce spiritual battle, which bleeds into the physical. I have never seen so many physical battles in just one year. Think about how many things are happening all at once. We have the pandemic which hurt many families. We have economic problems stemming from the pandemic. We can add fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, and the list goes on.

Cancer seems to invade so many families. My family before me did not experience cancer. My daughter died at the age of 14 from cancer. My husband survived. I have cancer in the lungs and now maybe cancer elsewhere. Cancer centers are crowded with people of all ages.

Through all though, you can make spiritual deposits by teaching others about Jesus and give them love with joy. Ask God to put love in your heart for Him and others. From that comes joy and peace.

Be God’s Feet And Gather The Strays

Beloved Ones of God, two of our purposes are to bring others to know Christ and to help other Christians grow in their faith. We are to gather up those who have fallen behind and strayed from the truth.

A Believer’s life is filled with test. Each test presents itself with choices. We must choose to continue to love Christ and obey God. We must choose to have faith and trust the Spirit of God.

God does not tempt or bring evil to His children. He does allow challenges so that our faith and love may grow by experiencing God’s faithfulness and power.

God encourages us to ask for wisdom as stated in James 1:5. The word “ask” in that verse is a command. God will give wisdom to all believers equally. How we use that wisdom in our circumstances, will be different from others. Also, wisdom will be different depending on our relationship with Jesus. Results will be different depending on if we choose God’s way, our way or some combination. But by doing things with God’s Word, God’s way develops humility, impartiality, and compassion.
